Super, my favourite

Fabulous

Beautifully painted Helen. I love the way the branch is positively set in the foreground against a more subdued background. Your reflections of the clouds are lovely.

One of a series of four small works planned on one day's walk around Derwentwater after a spectacular flood. I have used my newly-developed method of working which integrates ink with dry coloured pencil. It is not "colouring in" - I use both media together to interpret the landscape. For anyone interested in the method, Landscape in Ink and Coloured Pencil is due for publication on 27th June (Crowood Press).

That sounds like a nice method, Helen.
